| Make A Difference! |

- In addition to our fundraising efforts, our Volunteer Program is a key component to our success
in providing our clients quality services.
- We ask our volunteers to recognize the challenges and rewards of working in a diverse atmosphere
and to meet those challenges with an open mind.
- Our volunteers contribute in many ways:
- Reception and general office work
- Food pantry
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Providing support to our treatment and prevention staffs
- Fundraising
- Newsletter
- Internships
- And often, our volunteers recommend and implement new volunteer duties and responsibilities
- As HIV/AIDS affects every group of people, you will find individuals relecting many aspects of
the world we live in:
- Persons living with HIV/AIDS
- Heterosexuals
- Gays and Lesbians
- Ethnic minorities
- Racial minorities
- Persons of various religious affiliations
- Political and social activists
- Persons of all age group
- Current and former drug users
- A variety of professionals
- To become a volunteer is easy: you will be asked to complete a 1-page volunteer application. You
will participate in a volunteer orientation and receive a Volunteer Orientation Guide.
- We strive to recognize and appreciate our volunteers in as many ways as possible: certificates
and service badges, as well as our Annual Volunteer Appreciation reception.
